I must be mad!

I’ve been a bit quiet on the business front as I’ve been unwell for the last 5 months. I’m still in the process of trying to find out why I’m constantly ill.
In between being sick I decided what I thought at the time would be an opportunity of a lifetime for me, abseiling 9 storey’s down the unique Port of Leith Distillery due to it being the only vertical design in the UK.
I tried to get a hold of my son before signing up for it, as being ex navy and now in the RAF reserves. I thought we could do it together and that he would jump at the chance. Yes!!! Mother and son duo tag team.
Eh mum…… No!! What made you think I’d want to do that. Did you make this decision at 11pm at night when you were sitting thinking about things. Indeed I did not, it was 10:30pm actually.
So I decided to go ahead anyway so I paid the fee and booked my slot through the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance website so all the proceeds would go to this really worthy cause.

I decided to pick this charity because my son is nearly finished his paramedic training and I’ve been learning more about this much needed essential life saving service. It’s actually been in Arbroath twice this last week and Marykirk to a bad traffic accident. It’s not until you really need this service that it comes to mind and the fact that it’s a charitable organisation is mind blowing. The fastest emergency service that can save your life one day actually relies on us, the public to help it run.
So the fact that one day my son could be in it providing the service or receiving the service makes it special to me and the reason I chose this charity.
